The Legacy League
The Legacy League recognizes individuals and families who have chosen to remember their parish, the Archdiocese of Baltimore, or another Catholic ministry in their will, beneficiary designation, or other estate plans.
By sharing your intentions with us, you give us the opportunity to thank you today for the lasting difference your generosity can make tomorrow.
Why Join the Legacy League?
For many of us, our parish has been part of some of life’s most important moments.
It may be where you were married, where your children were baptized, where you worship each week, where friendships were formed, or where your family turned during difficult times.
A legacy gift is one way to help make sure that the Catholic faith and ministries that have mattered to you continue serving others for generations to come.
By joining the Legacy League, you are simply letting us know that you have chosen to include the Church in your future plans.
Your decision also sends an important message: the mission of the Church is worth carrying forward.
You Decide What Your Legacy Supports
Your legacy should reflect what matters most to you.
Some people choose to support the parish that has been their spiritual home for many years.
Others may choose Catholic education, vocations, care for people in need, evangelization, a particular ministry, or the broader mission of the Church.
The important first step is simply deciding:
What part of the Catholic mission would I like to help continue for the next generation?
Include your parish or a Catholic ministry in your will or trust
Name a Catholic organization as a beneficiary of a retirement account
Name a parish or ministry as a beneficiary of an investment or financial account
Include a Catholic organization as a beneficiary of life insurance
Make another planned or estate gift
What is a Legacy Gift
A legacy gift is a gift that you arrange today but that generally benefits your parish or another Catholic ministry in the future.
There are many ways to create one.
You might:
Your legacy gift can support your own parish, a Catholic school, a ministry that is important to you, or the wider mission of the Archdiocese of Baltimore.
You Do Not Need to Tell Us the Amount
Joining the Legacy League does not require you to disclose the value of your planned gift.
We simply ask you to let us know that you have included a parish, Catholic ministry, school, or the Archdiocese of Baltimore in your plans.
Your plans remain yours, and they can be changed in the future if your circumstances or wishes change.
We are grateful simply to know that the Church has a place in your plans.
Our Way of Saying Thank You
Legacy League membership is our opportunity to recognize and thank those who have chosen to support the future of the Catholic Church.
Legacy League members may receive:
A personal card signed by the Archbishop of Baltimore
Opportunities to attend special Masses, gatherings, and presentations
A Legacy League lapel pin
Updates about the mission and ministries of the Archdiocese
Invitations to special Legacy League and Archdiocesan events
Recognition as a Legacy League member, if you choose to be recognized
